Jingliang Yan, MD, PhD, FACS
Dr. Jingliang Yan, MD, PhD, FACS, is a board-certified bariatric and general surgeon. He received his MD and PhD degrees from Indiana University. Subsequently, he completed his general surgery training at the Cleveland Clinic and advanced bariatric surgery fellowship at Vanderbilt University.
His main clinical focus is weight loss. He is double board certified in both the surgical and medical aspects of obesity treatment. He routinely performs minimally invasive bariatric surgeries (Roux-en-Y gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy), using both the laparoscopic and robotic approaches.
He also specializes in hiatal hernia repairs, and anti-acid reflux surgeries.
Dr. Yan strongly believes in maintaining long-term relationships with his patients in order to guide them through these major turning points in their lives. He takes an individualized approach to the surgical care of his patients, and understands the lifestyle adaptations needed after surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and an active member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, and Americas Hernia Society.
