While there are many comprehensive informational websites, we don’t believe there is one all-encompassing online resource. We aim to change that.
As it is today, Bariatric Surgery Corner is a collection of valuable information for those considering surgery and those who have had it already. With your help, Bariatric Surgery Corner will become a highly interactive hub of information, tools, and community that will truly serve the needs of anyone in the bariatric world. Further, we aim to bring the bariatric lifestyle into our communities, making it easier for the millions of bariatric patients to continue their extraordinary journey.

Meet the Bariatric Surgery Corner Team
Cornell “CJ” Peters
Cornell “CJ” Peters has been passionate about bariatric surgery since 2009 when he was first introduced to the field as a medical marketing and practice-building specialist. Though he is not a bariatric patient himself, he has seen the transformative nature of these surgeries. Back when the idea of Bariatric Surgery Corner was first conceived, this option was by no means mainstream. Techniques and technologies were still being developed and many in the medical profession did not see bariatric surgery as a viable way forward. Today, however, so much has changed. However, there are stubborn misunderstandings about bariatric surgery as well as widespread misinformation that threatens the health and success of bariatric patients.
The idea behind founding Bariatric Surgery Corner is to develop a comprehensive, singular resource dedicated to providing consistent, pertinent, and medically reviewed information to patients considering bariatric surgery as well as those who have had it.
Nicole Landry, RN – Clinical Manager
Nicole holds an important role with Bariatric Surgery Corner – she is a clinician with significant experience in the bariatric world and a very successful bariatric patient herself. Originally hailing from Canada and now in Atlanta, Nicole has been a registered nurse (RN) for almost 15 years, during which time she worked in critical care, trauma, and bariatrics.
In early 2020 she underwent a very successful gastric sleeve and dropped 11 sizes. Now in her fourth year after surgery, she has maintained her motivation (and weight loss) and helps others through her calling in holistic healing. Nicole is the founder of Journey of Atman and a trauma coach.
Emma Dusenbury
Emma is our Digital Content Director. She is a graduate of Michigan State University and has spent the past 3 years working in the digital marketing space for a variety of businesses.
She is very excited to be working with the Bariatric Surgery Team, as she believes strongly in the mission and loves getting to help build a resource that will help people along their journey.
Chloe Seddon, MS, RDN, LDN
Chloe Seddon is a registered dietitian nutritionist with a Master’s Degree in health promotion from the University of Connecticut.
She specializes in nutritional counseling, focusing on a non-dieting approach to maintaining a healthy weight and goal-oriented lifestyle for long-term success. She teaches intuitive eating and easy meal preparation to help clients sort through the myriad of nutritional misinformation to focus on having a balanced and happy relationship with food. She counsels clients with various issues, including chronic disease management, sports nutrition, disordered eating, and weight loss.
Chloe is a nutritional counselor and educator providing group and individual consulting. She believes balancing food, eating, and exercise should be enjoyable and healthy.
