Dr. Emmanuel was born and raised in India. He completed medical school at St. John’s Medical College in Bangalore, India. He completed his internship in general surgery at Yale-New Haven Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven, CT and general surgery residency at the University of Connecticut in Farmington, CT.

His passion for helping people reach a healthy lifestyle drew him to bariatric surgery. Following a year of practice in general surgery, he completed a fellowship in Bariatric, Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery at the Magee Women’s Hospital of University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, one of the oldest training programs in the field of bariatric surgery. He has a wealth of experience in bariatric surgery, revisional surgery and robotic surgery as well medical weight loss management.
