Bernie Hanna, MD, FACS, FASMBS is an internationally recognized bariatric surgeon and the founder and Medical Director of Las Vegas Bariatrics. He serves as the Medical Director for North Vista Hospital, Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, and Dignity San Martin Hospital. Dr. Hanna has served as a trauma surgeon, an assistant clinical professor and is a published medical researcher. Aer extensive experience in trauma eld, Dr. Hanna decided to focus and rene his minimally invasive surgical skills by treating obesity and correcting many of the health issues and co-morbidities associated with obesity through bariatric surgery. is became his newfound passion.

Having practiced in the Las Vegas Valley since 2000, Dr. Hanna is an award-winning surgeon, having received Top Surgeon honors several years in a row and achieved the “Top Doctor” award for 2020 and multiple years before that. Dr. Hanna is highly skilled and known for his expertise in performing the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy (VSG), Roux-en-Y (RNY) Gastric Bypass, Adjustable Gastric Band (Lap-Band), and weight loss surgery revisions. He routinely performs procedures for Hiatal Hernias and Reflux Surgery.
