Darren W. Soong, MD FACS FASMBS

Bariatric Surgeon Darren W. Soong, MD, FACS, FASMBS, is a highly skilled and experienced general and bariatric surgeon practicing at the Surgical Weight Control Center of Nevada. Board-certified, he is one of the Southwest's premier surgeons and is known for his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence in patient care and patient safety. He has been an assistant clinical professor with several medical schools and is currently an assistant clinical professor at the University Of Nevada School Of Medicine. Dr. Soong was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, has lived and practice surgery in Las Vegas since 1990. He earned his bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and received his medical degree at the University Of Hawaii School Of Medicine. He completed his residency at the University Of Nevada School Of Medicine. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Surgery (ABS), and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) a Fellow of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (FASMBS), Dr. Soong has consistently been voted "Top Doctor" list in Las Vegas Magazine for multiple years now based on physician and patient polls. Dr. Soong is married and has identical twin daughters. Outside of the office, he enjoys water sports like surfing foil surfing. Dr. Soong ranked 5.0 USTA tennis player.
