Dr. Raih Nemr, FACS
Dr. Nemr is a board-certified bariatric and general surgeon, as well as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine. He specializes in minimally invasive and advanced robotic bariatric procedures, including the gastric sleeve surgery (sleeve gastrectomy). Dr. Nemr performs surgeries at Staten Island University Hospital, Richmond University Hospital, and New York Community Hospital.

With over a decade of surgical experience, Dr. Nemr offers a comprehensive, patient-centered approach to weight loss. His philosophy emphasizes treating the whole person—not just the symptoms—by combining behavioral modification, medical management, and surgical options. He believes that because weight gain is multifactorial, successful and lasting weight loss requires an integrated, multi-disciplinary program.
Before entering private practice, Dr. Nemr held positions at prestigious institutions including NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, NYU Medical Center, and Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn.
